myspace... myspace... myspace

So theres this huge deal nowadays about this little o'le website called myspace. I personally am in favor of this website... its pretty much the first website i use when i get on the internet and the last website i check before i get off. Its really a great way to keep in touch with your friends and find great new bands. You can really express yourself through your layouts.. music... and blogs you put on your page. I have had a myspace for I think about 3 years now ... and of course like most things on the internet its been corrupted by pornographers and pedofiles. These people are constantly lurking in the darkness ... yes... but we must remember that no matter where you go on the internet these days your going to find these people and if you are a smart, educated and aware person and don't let your 13-16 year olds on myspace or even stay up to date and monitor who these kids are talking to... it shouldn't be that much of a problem

So what i'm trying to say is myspace is a great place to network.. meet new people... and listen to new music... but be careful

OOO and my whole point of this was to show everyone my myspace
haha

Dear Class of 2006

This poem I wrote for my graduating class. Because I am the Senior class President I was asked to say a couple of thank yous at graduation. I decided to do it in the form of poetry.
Dear Class of 2006,

I’m taking this time to say thank you
To the people that were always there
For you and you, when you were blue
These people are those who care

Thank you to our great, God above
Thank you Dad for that shoulder to cry on
Thank you Mom for your overwhelming love
Thank you family for the support you’ve shown

Thank you Miss Brand for the time you’ve put in
Thank you Mr. Cheatwood for getting the Friday song stuck in my head
Thank you Mrs. Lucas for making us care about being active over and over again
Thank you Alarm Clock for not letting me stay in bed.

Thanks to those teachers who never gave up
On me and you when we always wanted to
Thanks to those friends who were all so grown up
When they decided to be the mature ones and do what they were told to

Thanks to Ms. Rissi for always driving that little car
Thanks to those campus supervisors for never being to close but to far
Thanks to Mr. Elwood for his first great year
Thanks to Mrs. McCray for her smile and cheer

Thanks to those that have been through it all
With the class of 2006 it’s almost all over
We all know life isn’t one huge ball
We just want to say thank you for being our 4 leaf clover

Wasco High has been such a great place to be
Thank you school teachers, staff, administration
For these 4 years they’ve been better then I expected them to be
We must remember those, but now this is our celebration

But at the end of the day
There is one phrase your must remember to say
To those that were always there for us when we were blue
We must always remember to say Thank You

Emotion Emotion

Emotion, Emotion
It’s like a boat in the ocean
Up, down, Up, down, Up down
Stomach queasy and a big frown

I feel happy some days
Big smile on face always,
On those days life is good
But happy can burn like wood

I question everything I do
My mind is like one huge zoo
Right or Wrong, Good or Evil, Love or Fight
Sometimes I wish I could just fly a kite

If only life were that easy
If only my stomach hadn’t gotten queasy
Life can’t be this bad
Then why am I sad?

I feel sad and lonely
My future seems to me shaky
Will I mess up the rest
Or will it be the best

These years of my life
I don’t want to spend in strife
Love, acceptance, self-worth, success
So you ask, what’s the big fuss

I’m scared of the rest of my life,
With everything that is in me
I’m positive, this is right
I want the best for me, positively

These emotions that shoot through
There3 like this ebbing pain inside
I will endure, strive, live through
Pain, emotion it’s all in my head

I want out, but
I want in, yet
Life is out there, and
I’m sitting right here

I close my eyes
Open my mind
Think of you,
Think of me

What I’m trying to say
Is I’m scared of a lot
Life has this huge plot
I won’t be held at bay

I may not be making any sense
I’m lonely, tired, wanting, and needing
I’m tired of giving and not receiving
Will someone please reach out?

I’m here
I’m ready
I’m willing
I’m wanting
I’m needing
I’m pleading

Emotion, Emotion
Up and down like the ocean
Don’t know how I feel
Don’t know what I want
The beauty of the human mind
Must be something everyone wants to find

Immigration... and How I feel on the subject

In light of all the fuss over immigration and everything thats been going on in this past month. I have decided to share my opinion on the subject. Today, I was browsing some things and i came across this letter that I think adequately shares how i feel on the subject. It goes a little something like this.

MR. PRESIDENT, I'M HEADED TO MEXICO
Dear President Bush:I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements.

I know you can help with this.I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over?

Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
3. All government forms need to be printed in English.
4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.
5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.
7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.
9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and dont enforce any labor laws or tax laws.
13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy
.I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.Thank you so much for your kind help.
Sincerely,
your name here.

Now I know this letter is a little over the top, but its definitely true. Being that I have grown up in an immigrant community. Where, the vast majority of people are of mexican heritage and it is not uncommon for kids in my public high school to leave another student out by speaking spanish.. because the other student has no idea of the spanish language. I have heard students cuss teachers out in spanish and the teacher having no idea what the student was saying. My point is that while, yes these people play a vital role in the American economy, especially here int he central valley of California where a vast majority of Americas agriculture is located. The law of the United States needs to be enforced. Its already a misdemeanor to be in the United States illegally, so why do these people think that it is their right to be here?... I thought that if you were a citizen only you had rights in the United States?.. In America I didn't recieve all of my rights until I reached my 18th birthday. These people have rights yes, but they undermined yours and my rights as a United States citizen when they took jobs away from one of us. We blame offshoring and other things, but the heart of the issue is taking place right here under our own eyes. Now, I am in know way racist or have hard feelings against the mexican culture. In fact, I love mexican food, but the point is. COME TO THE UNITED STATES LEGALLY, and if you dont' ... dont' whine because the person standing at the front counter in the store doesn't speak spanish.
America has some 3 million homeless men, women and children who are out of the job. Why not create some work program to have these people work in the fields, or help agriculture in some way. If were worried about the immigration problem and homeless problem in America. Why not use both of them together.
I just wanted to state my opinion on the matter.
So ya thats it Aaronsworldview...on immigration

I Have This One Question

I Have One Question

May I ask one question?
It will surely be short
I need your opinion
And Im sure it wont hurt

Now this may be difficult
I hope that your opinions will be open
The world may be fault
But I hope you will listen
I have this one question

What is race?
Is it the color of your face?
Is it the color of your skin?
Or the language that is spoken

I have this one question
Why do we hate?
Why de we discriminate?
What is your opinion?

What does it matter whether
Black, White, Brown, Tan, Yellow
Were all human beings for that matter
One race that is made up of many shades of the rainbow

Our color is dependent of just one thing
Where God places us on this earth
Our pigmentation is due not to race; no nothing
But the sun and our skin and the place of our birth

So I have but one question
It wont take very long
Does God love us all
What is your opinion

Whether we are red, yellow, black, or white
WE are all precious in His site
WE are all the one race
WE are the Children of the Lord
